The Zonin family has been making wine since 1821 and currently operates Italy’s largest privately owned vineyard and winemaking complex. The house produces 25 million bottles and exports its wines to 69 countries. To increase their presence in the chinese market, we were requested to develop concept brands for their wines that transmit the idea of “Italian” to the chinese audiences.
OPERA is a concept that most Chinese perceive as Italian, and the opera singers -Soprano, Tenore, Baritono- can be related to styles of wine. OPERA wine rage targets the new young chinese consumers. The wines are young, fresh and affordable.
For the labels, we created characters representing the opera singers and played with the joke that a certain frequency of sound can break a glass. The look and feel is cool, young and fun.
