La Paloma (meaning “the pigeon” in spanish) is a tapas bar located in the buzzing Sai Ying Pun area in Hong Kong.
It aims to bring a casual and laid-back modern Spanish cuisine to Hong Kong.

We were assigned to develop the brand identity with the request of transmitting the values related to the concept.

We started by drawing an iconic pigeon and then, with a small twist on its head, we designed a series of personalities related to Spain: from the policeman “la pasma” to the vasque one “la chapela”.

A casual typographic code and the use of two warm colors -dark gray and red- create a contemporary identity that transmits the modern / casual approach of the venue.

We applied the code to all the restaurant applications and marketing collaterals to deliver a consistent brand experience.

For the interior application, we designed a pattern for the ceilings and walls and applied the pigeons on the blinds. This, together with typographic interventions in the walls, the bar and the kitchen, brand the space whilst deliver a cool environmental feeling to the guests.
